Salter-Harris fractures are fractures through the growth plate and are classified as below:

Slipped = 1

Above = 2

Lower = 3

Through = 4

CRushed = 5

The first radiograph above demonstrates a Salter-Harris type 1 injury. Radiographs 2, 3 and 4 demonstrate type 2 injuries of the proximal phalanx of the second toe, thumb and the tibia. The final radiograph demonstrates a fibular fracture and a type 4 Salter-Harris fracture of the tibia (not well seen at this size, a magnified version will be made available).
